Advanced Textiles Expo Customer Appreciation Event

Turning Customer Appreciation into Industry Community

$150K budget | 700+ attendees | 10+ partners and vendors | 1 evening

The Opportunity

Advanced Textiles Expo brings together customers, partners, manufacturers, and industry leaders from across the specialty-fabrics market.

The opportunity was to move beyond a conventional customer reception and create a shared experience that recognized the people behind the business, strengthened relationships, and gave the industry a reason to connect outside the trade-show environment.

The event needed to accommodate a large audience while still feeling personal, generous, and distinctive.

Strategy

We used Angel Stadium as more than a venue. We built the evening around the access, emotion, and shared traditions of baseball.

The stadium created a memorable setting, but the experience was designed around relationships. Guests were invited to explore, participate, and reconnect through activities that made conversation easy and allowed customers, employees, suppliers, and leadership to engage as peers.

The objective was not to deliver another corporate presentation. It was to create a moment of genuine appreciation.

My Role

I led the event strategy and cross-functional execution, coordinating internal stakeholders, stadium partners, production teams, vendors, hospitality, programming, and the overall guest experience.

My role included connecting the business purpose to the creative concept, managing the many operational details required by a major-league venue, and ensuring the evening remained both polished and human.

Execution

The experience included:

  • Exclusive access to Angel Stadium, including on-field and behind-the-scenes experiences.

  • Batting-cage activities and baseball-inspired participation.

  • Branded hospitality, informal networking, and photo moments throughout the venue.

  • Coordination across sponsors, partners, leadership, vendors, and event teams.

  • A carefully sequenced guest journey from arrival through the evening’s conclusion.

Business Impact

More than 700 customers, partners, employees, and industry friends attended. The evening created a rare opportunity for the industry to gather outside its usual commercial setting, strengthening relationships, generating lasting goodwill, and giving attendees an experience they continued discussing after the event.

Its impact came from scale without impersonality: hundreds of guests sharing an experience that still felt welcoming and relationship-driven.

Key Takeaway

Customer appreciation becomes meaningful when people feel recognized—not marketed to.
