Trivantage Customer Education Series

Performance on Deck. Shades of Innovation. Makers Meet.

Turning Product Education into a Platform for Customer Growth

Series scale: $500K budget | 300 attendees | 10+ partners and vendors | 3 days

The Opportunity

Trivantage serves customers working across a wide range of specialized markets, from marine fabrication and shade structures to upholstery, design, and custom manufacturing.

These customers need more than product information. They need practical knowledge, exposure to new ideas, trusted industry relationships, and the confidence to apply what they learn in ways that strengthen their businesses

The opportunity was to transform traditional training into a more relevant, hands-on customer experience.

Strategy

We developed a series of market-segment seminars built around the real needs of individual customer communities.

Performance on Deck, Shades of Innovation, and Makers Meet each addressed a different area of the business, but they shared one philosophy: education is most valuable when customers can see it, touch it, discuss it, and connect it to their day-to-day work.

The seminars combined product expertise, peer learning, demonstrations, business conversations, and relationship development. Rather than presenting to customers, we created an environment where customers, suppliers, experts, and sales teams learned from one another.

My Role

I led the strategy and experience development for the seminar platform, working across sales, marketing, product teams, suppliers, subject-matter experts, customers, and production partners.

My role included identifying the customer opportunity, shaping the programming, aligning internal and external contributors, and translating technical subject matter into practical, engaging customer experiences.

Execution

Across the seminar series, the experience included:

  • Hands-on product and fabrication demonstrations tailored to specific market segments.

  • Education led by internal specialists, suppliers, and industry experts.

  • Peer-to-peer knowledge sharing and business-focused conversations.

  • Product discovery through practical, real-world applications.

  • Collaboration with local sales teams and supplier partners within environments designed for experimentation and discussion.

Each seminar maintained its own identity while operating as part of a consistent and repeatable customer-education platform.

Business Impact

The series strengthened Trivantage’s position as more than a product distributor. It demonstrated the company’s value as a knowledgeable business partner invested in customer capability and long-term growth.

The programs deepened relationships among customers, sales teams, suppliers, and experts while creating opportunities for product adoption and continued education. They also gave the organization a direct feedback channel into the challenges and opportunities customers were experiencing.

Most importantly, the seminars turned education into an ongoing relationship rather than a one-time presentation.

Key Takeaway

The best customer education does more than transfer knowledge. It gives people the confidence to act on it.
